Our Story
The history of Galanti accordions began at the beginning of the twentieth century and tells the story of a family that has linked its name to music, producing musical instruments that have borne the name of Mondaino throughout the world for almost a century.
In just a few years, the first patents were filed in the States, reporting new technical and aesthetic improvements. Marketing was also particularly well-finished, so much so that in the 1930s Galanti accordions were used by the best accordionists and advertised by actress Paulette Goddard, a major star and wife of Charlie Chaplin.
At the same time in Mondaino, in 1932, the new factory was inaugurated, today an interesting example of industrial archaeology, as it was among the first, in reinforced concrete, built in Italy.
After the Second World War, the evolutions continued until arriving at the invention of the free basses, a device that allowed the basses to be played freely and adapted to the creativity of the music.
Subsequently, new musical tastes were adapted by adding other instruments to the accordion, such as electric guitars, electronic organs and vibraphones.
In 1969, Marcello Galanti founded Viscount International. In the 1980s, the electronic musical instrument sector was once again revolutionized by the advent of new digital technologies that allowed a significant evolution in the quality and performance of products such as keyboards, pianos and electronic classical organs.
With the advent of the new millennium and the increase in global competitiveness, the company faces a new challenge, focusing on innovative sound generation technologies through physical modeling, offering electronic musical instruments with exclusive performances.
